Hurricanes - The animal victims of hurricanes need your help. Amid the chaos of a mass evacuation even the most beloved companion animals can be overlooked and left behind. They will be in terrible conditions.
When the rescue of these unfortunate pets begins, there is an immediate need for pet food. With food and clean water scarce, small grants to local relief centers can provide the extra help for the often forgotten victims, our loved pets.
Floods - The horrific floods of the midwest and northeast United States cause many pets to be uprooted from their protected surroundings. Often they become separated from their owners and need to be feed and medical attention.
Even when they are with their owners there is often a need for food assistance. People who are the victims of floods often don't have the means to feed their own pets.
We think you can understand the stress these pets are experiencing.
Tornadoes - The direct hit of a tornado can leave subdivisions completely leveled, with lost and frightened pets everywhere, left out on the streets completely vulnerable and urgently need help.
Many more have a slim chance survive a tornado being trapped in air pockets of former homes without access to food or water. When tornadoes strike, pets and their owners need help. Local pet assistance organizations always welcome our cash grants so they can purchase what they need.
Earthquakes - Volunteers have rescued many pets from earthquake-hit cities. While the volunteers readily give their time and energy, they are frequently not in a position to provide food and medical treatment. The local organization may well be able to provide the shelter needed, but the unexpected costs of taking care of the pets can be staggering. Our small grants are often directly used to feed the pets.
Day to Day Operating Expenses - We have all read and heard about the financial hard times our economy is having, and pet organizations are directly effected also. We like to help the smaller organizations with operating expenses grants that can be used to their best advantage.
How You Can Help - Donations are needed to fund pet assistance grants to worthy organizations. There are many type of donations that you can make, of course direct cash contributions are the best. They can be quickly and directly used to benefit pets everywhere.
The number and size of the grants we make are directly related to our fund raising. For the local organizations that receive our grants, often times it is not so much the size of the grant that counts, it is the acknowledgement of the good work they are doing. |
