Art is created with the intention of transmitting emotions and/or ideas. When you donate art to charity, in a way you are an artist yourself. Your art donation can transmit emotions such as joy, relief and happiness to those less unfortunate.
Donated items such as photographic images, collectible posters, watercolors, oils, lithographs, origial prints, drawings, sculptures, valuable paintings and original comic book art donations are most welcome. Donate art to the World Pet Organization!
Artwork may refer to work of art in the visual arts, a piece of conceptual art such as in publishing, printing and advertising, any visual as opposed to textual material, usually in the context of preparing for printing, including cover art, the illustration or photograph on the outside of a published product such as a book, magazine, comic book, product package, video game, DVD, CD, videotape, or esp. album art.
Illustration is the original imagery that was used as a basis for illustration. Artwork (graphic arts) a drawing used in various processes to transfer an image onto a substrate. A photomask is an opaque plate with holes or transparencies that allow light to shine through in a defined pattern, commonly used in photolithography
Our mission is to assist local pet organizaitions with grants, funded by donations of all types. As art donations are received, some we market for their value or trade in order to benefit our acquisitions program of selected artists, while others we set aside for our loan collection.
We loan to public venues to enhance the quality of life of everyone. The collection exists as a continually changing and evolving body of art, but individual pieces in that collection remain there only as long as they're relevant to the collection as a whole. We have seen art bring hope and inspire people, while making their work or public places simply better places to be.
Donors will be required to fill out a donation form relinquishing ownership World Pet Organization. Artwork will become the property of World Pet Organization and donations should be considered unconditional gifts.
Artists donating artwork must complete a copyright release. With or without full copyright transfer, World Pet Organization will require the artist to authorize the World Pet Organization the right to reproduce images of the donation for educational, catalog, or publicity purposes.
Artists donating artwork must complete a form waiving rights of attribution authorizing the World Pet Organization to make modification(s) deemed necessary for the conservation, preservation, or stabilization of the donation, without altering the artist's original intent. Your donation will be acknowledged in writing.
World Pet Organization relies on private grants and individual giving to cover expenses for matting, framing, storage and operations. Donations of funds and works of art are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. (Note: the law currently allows tax deductions for collectors only, not artists.)
For artwork donated by an artist, the value assigned to the art is not a market value, nor can it include labor costs. The value is the cost of materials only (per tax regulations). Art collectors who donate artwork are advised to consult a tax specialist to receive proper tax benefits. Donations of over $5000 are subject to review by the IRS.
World Pet Organization Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity organization for the support of pets of all types, in all areas of the world. Contributions to our organization are tax deductible under section 170 of the Federal Income Tax laws.
We are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, gifts and cash by check or credit card under section 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Code. Our United States Federal Tax ID Number is 26-3624765.
